Score One for the Good Guys

BB&T won't offer loans to developers involved in Eminent Domain projects.

"The idea that a citizen's property can be taken by the government solely for private use is extremely misguided, in fact it's just plain wrong," John Allison, the bank's chairman and chief executive, said in a statement.

This, of course, is consistent with their stated values.

Would that Microsoft would take a similar stand against China. As much as I admire Microsoft's technical achievements, and do not begrudge them their market share in the least, their willingness to aid and abet the oppression of a people is morally repugnant. The same goes for Google.
